ASMAC
The association will promote the development of the adhesives and sealants industry in Canada.
Where possible the Association will participate in the development of government regulations, and encourage compliance with those regulations.
The Association will provide educational and networking opportunities for the members.

ASMAC’s immediate predecessor was the Packaging Adhesive Association which was present in Canada from 1956 to 1966.
Membership consisted of, Borden Adhesives, H.B. Fuller Canada, Industrial Adhesives, National Starch & Chemical, Stein Hall (Halltech Inc.), and Delpex.
(Swift Adhesives were eligible for membership, but were unable to join due to a restriction imposed on them in the USA.)
Ken Loomis was the Secretary of the Association.
Initial Organization meetings for the formation of the Adhesives Association of Canada were held on September 27 and 28, 1966.
The first Association meeting was held at the Park Plaza Hotel in Toronto on September 29, 1966.
The first meeting in Montreal was held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on April 4, 1968.
Charter members of the Adhesives Association of Canada are:
Borden Adhesives, Bostik (U.S.M. Chemical), Canada Glue, Delpex, Dural Adhesives, H.B. Fuller Canada Ltd., Halltech (Stein-Hall), Helmitin Canada, Industrial Adhesives, LePage, McNaughton-Brooks, National Starch & Chemical, Paisley, Pierce & Stevens, and Sluyter Chemical.
In 1968 the name of the Association was changed to Adhesives and Sealants Manufacturers Association of Canada.
Criteria for membership was the manufacture of liquid adhesives in Canada.
Attendance at meetings was restricted to the President or Vice President of member firms.
